Kids! You are invited to enjoy an morning of cocoa and painting. No prior painting skills necessary. Follow along with an instructor to learn how to paint a colorful canvas! All painting supplies provided. For grades 2nd – 5th.
You will also enjoy a fully stocked hot cocoa bar!

Anime Expression is a creative group that addresses social and emotional concerns for teenagers. This group focuses on sensory integration, self-awareness, and creative expression through the medium of anime – a Japanese animation style often characterized by colorful graphics, vibrant characters, and fantastical themes. Offered by The Center for Childhood Development in collaboration with the Hudsonville Area Arts Council, the final pieces created by the group will be exhibited in a public venue to be enjoyed by the residents of the Grand Rapids surrounding area communities.
Teenage boys and girls, ages 13 to 18, who may need confidence in social interactions as well as within themselves.
The goals of this group are to make friends, build self-confidence, develop emotional regulation and social skills, and express oneself through a creative medium.
Tuesdays at 4pm
Session 1: June 14 – July 12 (no group session week of July 4)
Session 2: July 26 – August 23

The Art of Succulents – An Artful Activity Presented by the Hudsonville Area Arts Council
Spring is here! Join us at Garden Crossings, and create a whimsical, succulent planter. Garden Crossings will have a large selection of succulents to choose from as well as an array of colorful pottery to plant in. All the supplies will be provided to create a miniature garden, including small items and some ideas to add an artful touch to your creation!

Come out and support local community artists at the Georgetown Community Center. Opening reception Friday, April 8th 6:30 – 8:30 PM. Exhibit open April 7th through May 10th, Monday through Friday 8 AM – 4 PM.
Hudsonville Artful Activities – Clay Stamping Workshop
Make ceramic word tiles with artist, Kim Stoub, in her cozy studio. No prior experience necessary. Kim will provide clay rolled into slabs, letter stamps, and other clay tools to stamp words and textures into the clay. Come prepared with a few, short inspirational phrases or quotes, and create several pieces of art! Each participant will be able to make a few small tiles which Kim will glaze and fire for you. The finished pieces will be available for pick-up at a later date.
